Conover, Paul, M.D.
Dr. Conover is a native of Germantown, Ohio. He completed his undergraduate studies at the University of Cincinnati, receiving a Bachelor of Science degree from the College of Pharmacy. He then attended medical school at Wright State University. Internship and residency in general surgery were completed in Grand Rapids, Michigan at Blodget Memorial Medical Center. He subsequently completed a fellowship in color and rectal surgery at the Ferguson Clinic, also in Grand Rapids. Following the completion of training, Dr. Conover served three years active duty with the U.S. Navy, stationed at Oakland Naval Medical Center.
In addition to serving as a member of the general surgery staff, Dr. Conover functioned as Head of the Division of Colon and Rectal Surgery, as well as Head of the Division of Surgical Endoscopy. Following his release from active duty, Dr. Conover and his family returned to the Dayton area where he has established a colon and rectal surgery practice.
Dr. Conover is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons (F.A.C.S.). He is board certified in both general surgery and colon and rectal surgery. He is a member of many local and national medical organizations including the Montgomery County Medical Society, the Ohio State Medical Association, the American Society of Colon and Rectal Surgeons and the Society of American Gastrointestinal Endoscopic Surgeons.
He opened his practice in January 1997. His primary focus is the diagnosis and treatment of anorectal disease and the early detection or prevention of colorectal cancer.
