Ettinger, David, M.D.
Dr. Ettinger was born and raised in the Northeast and graduated from the State University of New York at Buffalo Magna Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Arts in Biology. He was one of forty New York State students chosen to attend the Sackler School of Medicine in Tel Aviv, Israel. In 1981, he completed his medical school and returned to Buffalo for his residency which consisted of three years of general surgery and two years of plastic surgery. During his last year of plastic surgery residency, he was honored by being selected as the Chief Resident.
Dr. Ettinger established his first office in Orlando, Florida before joining the prestigious Midwest Plastic Surgery Center in Iowa. He also served as the Director of the Plastic Surgery Residency Program at the University of Osteopathic Medicine and Health Sciences in Des Moines, and developed a special interest in hand surgery during this time.
In 1993, Dr. Ettinger was given the opportunity to become the first and only plastic surgeon in Greene County and opened his current practice in Beavercreek, Ohio. He is a member of the Greene County Medical Society and served as the Head of the Department of Surgery at Greene Memorial Hospital for two years.
Dr. Ettinger has been a member in good standing with the American Board of Plastic Surgery since 1990. As a Board Certified Plastic Surgeon, he has been an active member of the American Society of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgeons and has been involved with the Plastic Surgery Educational Foundation. He continues to advance his surgical knowledge and skills by attending various cosmetic and reconstructive educational seminars.
He resides in Greene County with his wife, Barbara, and their three children and is very active in his children’s activities, often coaching and refereeing. He and his wife enjoy hiking, whitewater rafting, golf and travel.
