Foot and Ankle Surgeon
Dr. Bishop specializes in all aspects of foot and ankle surgery. Educated at Brigham Young University, he graduated with a degree in Zoology and Philosophy. Dr. Bishop then completed his medical training at Des Moines University, obtaining a doctorate degree in Podiatric Medicine and Surgery.
Dr. Bishop’s residency training was then completed at Wayne State University – Detroit Medical Center, which includes Detroit Receiving Hospital and Children's Hospital of Michigan; both of which are level one trauma centers. Comprehensive training in podiatric surgery, trauma surgery and pediatric trauma and reconstructive surgery was completed during his three year residency program. Dr. Bishop’s interests in foot and ankle surgery extend from: hammertoes and bunions, foot and ankle fractures and complex forefoot and rearfoot reconstructions.
Through his training and experience, Dr. Bishop learned both conservative and surgical management of all aspects of foot and ankle pathology. From preventative medicine to foot and ankle trauma and reconstruction, Dr. Bishop is committed to improving your foot and ankle health concerns. He is a member of the American Podiatric Medical Association and the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons.
